Dil Se

When I sit and read blogs written by others,I often get discouraged. Because many of them are a real Hi-Fi stuff. I feel mybe this is a platform for computer savvy or nerds or geeks or whatever words are being used to describe the computer smart genre. Without being disrespectful to all those, I wish to create a litle space for those, who are not so computer literate but have thoughts to express and share. The thoughts of love and romance, musings, dreams, childhood remembrances, fears, experiences and so on. Being an engineer by profession and a poet from the very core of my heart, I know what it is to dwell in this dichotomy. How hard it is to supress the thoughts when they come calling. But immeresed in the work we often let them go without giving them any heed. And they are lost for ever. How about keeping a pem or a pencil in the pocket and jotting them down right when they come. I have thousands of such bits of papers lying with me. Some of them have become full fledged poems, some will become so one day but they are all dear to me. though I write as comfortably in english, I prefer to write in hindi just because I can express myself better in it. I don't need to translate my thoughts. Plenty of people think like I do but reading and writing in hindi does not enjoy the honourable status in India and in the heart and the minds of the Indians. At one place I've written Humare apne hi desh mein hindi ko angrezi ka mil sakta samman nahin. Aupcharikta ke liye sarahna to mil jaye kahin thhori si magar angrezi ka mil sakta maan nahin.
